We don’t need our interns to get coffee (we can get our own). Instead, our interns get experience working with real-world applications for data across different IOT platforms. As part of the 12-week summer program, our interns work on special projects or are embedded into production teams, working alongside developers and data scientists.
Who is eligible? Rising juniors and seniors Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, and related degrees from across the country.
My internship definitely helped me prepare for my full-time career with Toyota Connected because as an intern, I felt like I was part of the team. I treated the internship as if I just got hired full time and tried to act like it, volunteering for opportunities to grow. I also treated it as a learning experience, because that's ultimately what it was. You learn about the corporate software development world from the inside. That's not something you can learn in a classroom.
